Inspired by the hay bales of Canadian farms, Unrolled Huts evokes the harvest season within a winter landscape. A 44-metre-long roll becomes both a landmark and an inhabitable refuge: visitors can enter its warm interior in severe cold, or rest upon it and look out across the site in milder weather. The accessible form invites direct, playful interaction. Hay bales are attached to a mesh and supported by a timber structure; the assembly opens and closes as a cylinder, aligning with the site's tall posts to shape a welcoming place. Visible from every direction, the installation guides visitors through the landscape and offers a new way to experience its seasonal character.
