About AK Studio.

AK Studio was founded in 2015 by Abdol Rahman Kadkhoda Salehi, but the path toward its formation began years earlier with a personal interest in creating spaces that could bring meaning, usefulness, and greater quality to human life. From the beginning, architecture has been more than the design of buildings for me; it has been a way of shaping better experiences of everyday life.

After studying architecture and completing a Master’s degree in the field, my professional journey developed through architectural design, construction supervision, urban-space projects, and continuous participation in architectural competitions. My experience includes working with Grand Design Studio in Sulaymaniyah, Nazar Research Center in Tehran, and several years of professional architectural supervision. These experiences eventually led to the establishment of AK Studio. Since 2015, the studio has primarily focused on residential architecture and participation in national and international architectural competitions.

Over the years, the studio’s projects have been recognized in a range of architectural competitions and events, from first-place awards in the Wave House competition and urban design competitions in Saqqez and Andisheh New Town, to finalist and shortlisted positions in international competitions across Iran, Europe, Canada, and Asia. Participation as a jury member in events such as the Inspireli Awards and the Ryterna Modul Architectural Challenge has also formed part of this professional journey.
